Why does my 4WD make a loud pop?
Making the noise in 4wd hi or low could be caused by a failing chain inside the transfer case. In 2wd the chain is not under any load. Thanks for the input, I really do think its coming from the front right axle/hub area, but I will look into T-case chain. Any idea of how i can test that at home? (if even possible)
Why is a humming noise coming from my front end?
Took it to a very reputable independent Toyota shop, took the tech for a ride and he agreed about the issue being the wheel bearing. So, I ended up leaving it with the independent shop to get the wheel bearing replaced. I get a phone call this morning, they replaced the wheel bearing but the noise is still there.
