6 people found this helpful. 1990 cord ranger new fuel filter replaced disturbuter first time lasted 2 weeks then it strayed stalling. Replaced it at in and two weeks stalled at in.twice keeps dying after it warms up. New cool ignation module.
Why is my Ford Ranger stalling at stoplights?
A dirty throttle body can lead to stalling in your Ranger. If you let off of the gas coming to a stoplight and it stalls for a second or two and recovers itself, it very well could be a dirty throttle body that is causing the problem. What causes a spark on a Ford Ranger?
That will only check the coil output, if you don’t have a trigger signal from the ICM then the coil wont fire. The distributor pick up generates the magnetic pluse that the ICM reads and generates a trigger signal and sends that to the ignition coil and in turn if it has stable incoming voltage fires a spark. 7 people found this helpful.
