Why is my AC pressure reading so high?
4) Blockage on the high-pressure side of the system between the compressor and condenser but before the high-pressure port. Evacuate and check for blockage. 1. This could be normal if outdoor temperatures are very high.
What should I do if my car AC pressure is high?
If your car has a heater valve, make sure it’s not allowing hot coolant into the heater core when you’re running the AC. Fix: Replace a bad blend door actuator or faulty heater control valve or repair a faulty blend door or blend door linkage 2) You have air and humidity in the system from leaks and refills over the years.
What to do if your AC pressure gauge is low?
Fix: Check for leaks and repair. Evacuate the system and recharge with the correct amount of refrigerant. 3) Partial blockage of the orifice tube/expansion valve and the evaporator. The blockage or stuck expansion valve restricts the flow of refrigerant into and out of the evaporator.
What causes low coolant levels in an engine?
Engine coolant levels will be low. 1. This could be normal if outdoor temps are very low. Fix: None needed. Check again when the temperature rises 2) Low refrigerant charge (most common cause). Fix: Check for leaks and repair. Evacuate the system and recharge with the correct amount of refrigerant.
Why does my Pontiac Montana heater not work?
Vehicle blows only cold air when stopped. The higher the speed, the warmer the air temp. Can feel the temp cool as you slow and stop. Recently took to mechanic who couldn’t find a problem but cleaned heater core which did allow for warmer temp while driving.
Why does my 2000 Montana overheat all the time?
We have a 2000 Montana and have the same thing with the temp gauge. It usually is caused by a slow leaking lower intake manifold. Common in GM 3.1 and 3.4 V6’s Just keep a check on the coolant level. My husband and I have the same problem but ours eventually overheated on the interstate one evening.
Are there any problems with the Pontiac Montana?

When did we replace the condenser on the Pontiac Montana?
In 2003 we replaced the condenser and the compressor @ $2000.00. This past Friday July 28,06 we brought it in again to the dealer for what was diagnosed as a cracked condensor, again! Cost to fix $1100.00. We didn’t have it done. It was not a pretty seen at the dealership. They told us we needed to talk to GM about the problem.
