Why does my car stall when it warms up?
Well, there is an ignition problem that can cause this when the engine gets hot and it stalls. It’s caused by a lack of spark which can be either the ECU’s fault (on EFI cars), or the coil on pretty much any car. Heat causes expansion. An engine needs more fuel when it’s cold than it does when it’s warm.

After spending an hour meticulously cleaning the throttle body and plate, I put it back together to give it a shot. Couple of notes: Initially, it ran fine till it warmed up, at about 1200 rpm , then back to the terribly rough idle…. feels like it’s missing, too. On several cylinders.
How long does a warm engine idle for?
With a steady throttle, it fluctuated between 3 and 3.5 for a couple mins, then bogged out and stalled. Next time I started it, it went to 2k intially then started hunting between 1k and 1500, with about a two sec interval. After a couple mins, fluctuated around 750, but not steady.

Car will sometimes not start after warm. When i start my car, for the first time during the day- I have no problem. When I go somewhere and shut it off, sometimes it won’t resatrt. It doesn’t seem to matter what the weather is outside, it just does it when it feels like it.
