Why does my Audi engine rattle when I start the car?

Not too long after owning the car which was bought April 2011, the engine developed a judder & rattle on startup just before it fires up. The car incidently drives flawlessly. It was doing my head in so I took it into an Audi dealership after hearing horror stories that there were problems with certain injectors.
