What does check emission system mean on an Acura?
If the check emissions system light has turned on in Your Acura RDX that means that the ECU has detected a fault in some part of Your emissions control system. Your vehicle has many sensors on it to measure the emissions and make sure that it is all being controlled properly before it is released to the environment.

I have 2007 mdx. Not sure exactly when it all started; at first it was “tighten fuel cap”; drive around and it would go disappear, then comes back on; repair tech suggested changing fuel cap; went to the dealer and purchased OEM fuel cap; did not help. “tighten fuel cap” appear then disappear then appear.

When does the check AWD warning come on?
The combined warning lights of ‘check emissions’ and ‘check SH-AWD’ come on for a couple of days and then go off. Its been alternating between warnings lights and no warning lights for the past month. I have no automated warning messages delivered through the Navigation system. How do I reset the service light on my Acura MDX?
Press the select/reset button again and the oil life should reset to 100%. When complete, turn the car off, and then back on again. Check that the signal no longer pops up. If it does not, turn the engine on and double-check the signal status. Figure 3.
