Does Live colour XXL work on dark hair?
LIVE’s semi-permanent Ultra Brights or Pastel range and LIVE’s temporary Pastel Sprays can be used on darker hair that has been pre-lightened (bleached). For the best pastel results, hair needs to be extra light blonde – this is especially the case for green and blue toned colours.
How long do you leave live colour on for?
Great Colour The box recommends you leave it in for a minimum of 30 mins but I always leave the dye in for 2 hours maximum. Leaving it in for so long won’t damage your hair since it just coats the exterior of your hair unlike permanent hair dyes; permanent dyes saturate and change the proteins of the hair.

Semi-permanent hair dye: Pierce the Colour Cream tube with the reverse of the lid. Squeeze approximately a ½ teaspoon sized amount of Colour Cream into your gloved hand and apply to the previously sectioned strand. Re-seal the Colour Cream tube with the lid and make sure it’s on firmly.

Is it better to dye your hair dirty or clean?
Hair color takes best to clean, freshly washed hair. Only when using chemically harsh dyes, proceeding with dirty hair may be recommended so that your hair’s oils can protect the hair and scalp from lasting damage. For best results, we recommend a more natural color on squeaky clean hair.
