When is a no glow plug light bad?
If #30 has high amperage (larger wire) power in (constant hot) and NO low amperage power in (signal from #20) when key is turned on and no High power out to the GP’s then the controller #20 is bad. Remember this is all based on temperature of the tractor. You’re having a good day, bic!

One and or both of those wires somehow must be the switch power for the relay to switch the heavy wire 12 volt constant to the heavy wire for the glow plugs, however even with the power from these lines there is no power to the glow plug line. Two notes.

Can you replace OE glow plugs with Bosch?
You can replace OE glow plugs with Bosch with complete confidence. Bosch is currently the OE glow plug on most European diesel vehicle applications. And for Domestic and Japanese vehicle applications, Bosch Glow Plugs are designed to meet and/or exceed the OE glow plug specifications.
How does a John Deere glow plug work?
There is a yellow set of wires in the harness that provide 12 volts with the key on, they appear to go to the injector pump, and the last wire in the harness connects to the temperature sensor on the thermostat housing; the wire from this sensor also shows 12 volts in the relay harness with the key on. Still no power to the glow plugs! ?.
